Periodontitis and limiting (restrictive) beliefs

Decoding the message of gum disease

It is a fact that periodontitis is one of the most severe pathological conditions of the gums.

It usually starts with receding gums and creating pockets that accumulate plaque, tartar, and germs. The result is chronic inflammation and destruction of the bone surrounding and holding the teeth in place.

Protein complexes determine the behaviour of our gums at the cellular level that conveys information at the biochemical and biological levels.

This information is about how we eat and the effect we have from polluted environments. In addition, everything conveys information from our subconscious thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.

There is direct communication between our subconscious and our physical body.

The Role of the Gums

The gumsprimary role is to hold the teeth in place and support them by giving them stability and strength to cope with the functions of chewing swallowing, feeding, breathing and communication.

But what is behind this self-destruct mechanism?

When we go through extreme insecurity state,  weakness and fear without support from our environment, we usually feel anxiety, worry, and despair, and often we present aggressive behaviour. We believe that no one and nothing protects us because we are not worthy.

We often feel cut off from our family or homeland or even our faith in God and the creative power of the universe. The sense of belonging is deeply affected; we feel rejection and low self-esteem and lose trust in others.

We form our beliefs from everything we were taught in our childhood or passed down to us from our ancestors as a legacy that comes from deep memories and experiences from the collective unconscious.

What we say and think create our reality. It is essential to be constantly aware of our thoughts and words. Our brain works like a biological supercomputer that evaluates information and responds. When the body accepts a belief, it becomes a program.

So do we subconsciously transfer this ‘lack of support’ programming to our teeth, which react by confirming our beliefs and beliefs by losing their license, destroying the gums and bones that hold them in place?

The first steps in our healing journey are self-awareness, understanding and acceptance, which will help us choose ways to balance and heal at all levels of our being. This path includes the health of our teeth and gums.
